Mechanical drawings and the controls spec section, an equipment schedule or point list, and your target dates. If you are replacing something, a photo of the existing panel and its available space is worth a page of description.

Are you a controls contractor?

We also take subcontract engineering work for other controls companies, under your name, with a written commitment never to contact your customer. See the trade partner page.

Common questions

Before you ask.

Do you work as a subcontractor to a mechanical contractor or GC?

Yes, and it is most of what we do. We are comfortable working under your contract, on your schedule, and in your coordination meetings. If you want submittals issued under your title block, that is fine too.

Will you work on a system somebody else installed?

Yes. Inherited systems are a normal part of the work, including ones where the original contractor is gone or the documentation never existed. We will tell you honestly what is worth saving and what is not.

Do we get the passwords and backups at the end?

Yes. Station backups, credentials, as-built drawings, and O&M documentation are part of closeout on every job. It is your building.

Can you price a job from drawings alone?

Usually. If the drawings and spec are complete enough to define the point count and the sequence, we can hold a fixed number. When something genuinely cannot be known up front, we will say which part that is and price that portion by the hour rather than padding the whole job.

Are you insured?

Yes. General liability, workers compensation, and auto coverage are in place, and we can provide a certificate of insurance naming you as additional insured on request. Coverage limits available on request.
